Karen Allen joins TAG from the Mobile Entertainment Forum, where she was General Manager for the Americas region. Karen led the association's industry initiatives, oversaw operations and produced MEF Americas' inaugural trade conference, MEFCON.
Prior to MEF, Karen bridged the digital and music industry worlds as the RIAA's Internet Evangelist. There she acted as the liaison for the RIAA with their member labels and the digital music community at large, giving the RIAA a greater presence in the digital arena. In addition, she spearheaded the trade group's efforts to bring their programs and services into the digital age.
A true digital music pioneer, Karen was on the ground floor of N2K/Rocktropolis.com, one of the first major music websites for fans, where she produced and marketed live broadcasts, chats and other events. In that role, Allen worked closely with artists, labels and managers encompassing all facets of online content acquisition, event production and marketing. Before that, she managed the bands Sky Cries Mary and Gren, among others, at Miles Copeland's Firstars Management.
