Attn Startups! SXSW Accelerator Call For Entries

SXSW Accelerator is the newest music event showcase featuring the web’s most exciting innovations.  With a live audience and a panel of expert judges discovering the most innovative advancements in music technology, SXSW Accelerator has it all. With product demonstrations by the most ambitious and creative new talents, this competition is unlike any other.

This event provides an outlet for companies to present their new music-related technologies and services to a panel of industry experts, early adopters, and representatives from the Venture Capitalist community.  Past examples of panel judges have been Guy Kawasaki, Paul Graham of Y Combinator, Tom Ball of Austin Ventures, Robert Scoble, Chris Sacca, Jeff Pulver of 140 Conference and Tom Conrad of Pandora, just to name a few.

NEW for 2011 is the Music-Related Technologies category. This category pertains to applications and technologies specifically designed for the use of musicians and the music business. These companies seek to advance the creation, distribution and promotion of recorded music, to facilitate licensing and payment for use of recordings, or to aid in the booking, logistics and promotion of live performances.
