VIDEO: NARM MusicBiz 2013 Recap
NARM released their official video recap of this year’s festivities, including a segment from TAG’s Ted Cohen giving his acceptance speech for their renowned Presidential Award for Sustained Industry Achievement (shown around the 1:16 mark). Cohen takes this opportunity to predict a bright future for the music industry:
“I’ve been trying to deal with a combination of explaining what the possibilities are, with basically trying to get across to people that they weren’t possibilities, they were inevitabilities.
Where we are right now is, I think, where we should be. It’s a little bit of an awkward transition, but we are going to make it through it, and I think it’s going to be an even better music business than it’s been before.” -Ted Cohen, Managing Partner of TAG Strategic
From the NARM MusicBiz site:
“Our annual confab is where industry professionals come to meet with trading partners and network with new companies. It’s a gathering place for those seeking the latest knowledge on research trends and new product and services concepts. It’s where our working groups set agendas to reach collaborative, meaningful and actionable solutions that will create the music landscape of tomorrow.”
