Press Release: TED COHEN LEAVES EMI MUSIC TO ESTABLISH NEW CONSULTANCY, TAG STRATEGIC, LLC; EMI SIGNS ON AS CLIENT

NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, June 1, 2006

Ted Cohen, EMI Music Senior Vice President, EMI Music Digital Distribution and Development, will be leaving his full-time position to establish a consulting practice called TAG Strategic, LLC. In his new capacity as a full-time consultant, Cohen will advise companies, including EMI, about the opportunities presented by the intersection of entertainment and technology. Cohen will continue to provide consulting services to EMI Music on a part-time basis.

Cohen has played a key role in the formation of EMI’s digital strategy since he first joined the company in 2000. As he transitions into his consulting practice, Cohen will continue to work closely with members of EMI’s Strategy and Development team.

“Ted has a great understanding of how the digital music space is evolving. He was one of EMI’s pioneers in the digital area and his intelligence and enthusiasm have been a key part in ensuring that digital expertise and strategy have been built into the fabric of EMI as an organization. We thank him for his many contributions over these last years, look forward to tapping into his expertise in the future and wish him success in his new venture,” said David Munns, Chairman and CEO, EMI Music North America.

Cohen, who was recently named Americas Chairman of the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), a consortium of companies working to accelerate the mobile entertainment industry’s continued revenue growth, will also continue to represent EMI Music on MEF matters.

“I joined EMI at an exciting and pivotal time in the music business and have been honored to play a role in EMI’s transition to a digital music company. Today is another time of change, as mobile is playing a significant role in the way entertainment is consumed and other forces are opening up alternative forms of distribution. It seemed like the optimal time to return to my roots working more closely with multiple entities. I am especially pleased that I will be continuing to work with EMI,” said Cohen.
