TAG Strategic Partners With Digital Music Veteran Dick Wingate

Company also announces addition of Faron McKenzie and relaunch of website

Los Angeles, August 26, 2009 –Digital entertainment consultancy TAG Strategic today announces the addition of two new executives and the relaunch of its website.

TAG Strategic has formed a partnership with Dick Wingate, a highly-respected consultant and digital music veteran with more than three decades of experience in the music and interactive media industries. Wingate will develop new business opportunities and co-consult new clients as TAG’s Head of East Coast Client Relations.

Dick Wingate brings a rich background in digital media to TAG – after holding major label senior management positions at Columbia, PolyGram and Arista Records in marketing, product management and A&R, Dick was one of the first music industry executives to go digital. In the early 90’s, he led market development for InTouch, creators of the first networked, interactive music-previewing kiosk for record stores. Wingate helped pioneer the digital music business during his years as SVP, Content Development, at Liquid Audio, Inc. He played an integral role in bringing the company public and was responsible for managing music business development, label relations, affiliate management and content programming. He recently served as President, Media Development & Chief Content Officer for Nellymoser Inc., one of the earliest providers of rich media mobile services, overseeing content, licensing and business development strategies, and working closely with major media companies and wireless service providers.

Faron McKenzie joins TAG Strategic as Director of Business Development, Europe, where he will develop new business initiatives under the direction of TAG’s European MD, Khalid Amin. McKenzie brings to TAG a strong foundation of melding brands with entertainment, from founding dance music promotions companies and record labels which heavily licensed their catalog to ad agencies, brands and broadcast media, to starting the first Sponsorship & Sales division within UK’s Channel 5. Additionally, McKenzie, through his Rhythm and Muse companies, launched in the UK the concept of Audio Branding, which had prior been only a US phenomenon.

TAG Strategic has also relaunched its website, https://www.tagstrategic.com, which in addition to information on TAG’s services features a blog; a news feed of hand-picked, essential stories on digital entertainment; a calendar of key industry events with exclusive registration discounts; and streaming video of interviews with digital entertainment executives and first-person footage of key industry events.

TAG Strategic Founder & Managing Partner Ted Cohen remarked, “TAG Strategic continues to add value to our clients’ efforts as digital media proves itself to be ever further woven through the fabric of entertainment. I am excited to welcome Dick Wingate and Faron McKenzie, two very talented and respected experts in their fields.
